Flying matters to people
Now let’s make it cleaner

Investing in proven climate impact to reach net‑zero

Our Story

I want to create a fund that invests in proven, data & evidence based climate solutions.

Climate scientists around the world are working hard on mapping the most effective climate solutions. They also tell us which solutions are cheap in terms of unit of impact.

With Aviation Climate Bonds, airlines invest in climate solutions that work.

The challenge

80% of the world’s population has never set foot in an airplane.

By 2050, aviation is projected to account for 20% of all global greenhouse emissions.

Proposed solutions are expensive and offer no real relief. SAF and tree‑planting have questionable impact, and biofuels can, in some cases, be worse for the planet than the fossil fuels they aim to replace.

But the climate crisis cannot wait. And right now, aviation lacks a clear, credible path forward — one that protects both the planet and the people who depend on flight.

And one that acts today.

Climate solutions

Not all climate solutions are equal. Some climate solutions are highly recommended to pursuit, some are not recommended at all.

I took a lot of inspiration from Project Drawdown, and their new Drawdown Explorer.

With Aviation Climate Bonds you invest in highly recommended climate solutions and "Emergency Break solutions." These are solutions that need investment today, and are likely to be profitable in the near future.

Flying matters

Aviation connects a world that needs connection. People fly for reasons that matter. To see family, to work, to study, to love, to live.

But the climate cost is real — and growing. We want to fly, but we also want to protect the planet we depend on.

Aviation Climate Bonds starts from a simple truth: flying matters — and so does the climate. Our mission is to help aviation invest in real climate solutions that deliver measurable impact, so people can keep flying without leaving the future behind.

People fly for reasons that matter

“My family is spread across the country, and flying is how we stay close. I know it comes with a cost to the planet, but connection matters too.”

Marisol Reyes — Los Angeles, United States

“For me, flying is pure efficiency. Being on the other side of the world in a single day still amazes me.”

Kenji Matsuda — Osaka, Japan

“Travel inspires me. New cultures, new ideas. I offset my flights, though I know that’s not a perfect solution.”

Aisha Karim — Amman, Jordan

“I’ve watched planes fly over my neighborhood since I was a child. Now I’m finally boarding one.. it feels unreal.”

Samuel Njoroge — Nairobi, Kenya

“I would love to visit my sister in Toronto. I’ve never flown before, but I hope one day I’ll finally be able to make that journey.”

Anika Deshpande — Pune, India
